History Choseon Dynasty : Hongcheon-myeon, Chisa-myeon,
Daegamgae-myeon In 1914 : Changed the name to Hongbuk-myeon
for administrative policy In 1983 : Divided into 13 statutory
towns(ri) and 30 administrative towns(ri)
Name Origin Junggye-ri (ñéÍ¢×ì) This place was in Hongcheon-myeon,
Hongju(Hongseong)-gun, but it was combined with a part of Sangdongmak-ri,
Jungdongmak-ri, Hadongmak-ri, Donggye-ri, Jung-ri and Sangsan-ri
in 1914 according to the administrative policy, and called Junggye-ri
because of ¡°Jung-ri¡± and ¡°Donggye¡± and belonged to Hungbuk-myeon.
Sangha-ri (ß¾ù»×ì) This is the place in Hongcheon-myeon,
Hongju(Hongseong)-gun, but it was combined with a part of Hasan-ri
and Sangsan-ri in 1914 according to the administrative policy, and
called Shangha-ri and belonged to Hungbuk-myeon
Yongbongsan village meets Hongseong-eup on its north side; also
it is located at the eastern hill of Yongbong mountain which is
located on the north and south sides. This village is located at
the foot of Yongbong mountain which is called Kumkang Mountain of
Chungnam, it has good tourism sources so every year many tourists
come to here. Yongbong mountain which is located at the west
side of the village has national cultural assets such as Sanghali
Mirukbul, Yongbongsa Yeongsanguibulting and other cultural assets
such as Yongbongsa, Yongdosa, Maaejiseokjo, Yongbongsabudo, etc.
Also there are many cultural assets near the village such as Hongju
cattle, Joyang gate, Hongseong hot spring, Choiyeong general shrine,
Seongsammun site, Deoksan hot spring, Yun, Bong-gil house, Sudeok
temple. Hongseong Yongbongsan Experience Village tries to create
various income sources with organic food, improve distribution network,
increase life quality, make good living environment, realize green
tourism, make the cooperative group and contribute to the protecting
environment, and also we are putting lots of effort into building
leader farm village by preparing experiences such as orchard, picking
strawberry, picking apple and picking pear.
