Changnyeong Seonggok Organic Village, located northernmost,
is surrounded with mountains in the southeast and plains in the
west. It is a typical center place of agricultural life and a main
producing place of apples, pears, persimmons as well as onions.
By developing itself into an environment friendly agricultural village,
it created a high quality brand of environment friendly rice and
the residents are very interested in producing high-priced local
specialties. Yeondang-riThe whole area is associated with Buddhism
(Yongheung Temple, Daegeon Temple in Ansim-ri and Yeonhwa Temple
in Guyeonhwa etc) and all the geographical designations of the area
have Buddhist origins. Places like Ansim-ri, Wonmyeong, Seunggogae
are good examples and Yeondang-ri literally means a pond with lotus
blossoms (meaning, in other words, a place where Buddha stays, Yeonhwadae).

Daesan-ri (Daemoe, Daesan-dong)The region originally belonged to
Seongsan-myeon and was called Daemoe as the site was located in
a mountain. There are Daesan, Wolgok and Ansim-ri.
