The Tombs of Sangjeong-ri

Address: 738-2 Sangjeong-ri, Hwajeong-myeon and vicinity

These tombs are located on the fields to the south of Hwajeong Middle School.  This is a group of seven tombs.  The first four tombs are situated in the center of the field and the remaining three by the road to Seokcheon.  These tombs are called the Dolmens of Chilseong.  There is another dolmen in Sangjeong-ri Village, but these tombs are not very well-preserved.



- 1st Dolmen: 2.9m in length, 1.6m in width, 0.7m in thickness.  A thin rectangular stone with a 0.4m-wide memorial stone on the bottom (Owned by Sang Sun Nam)
- 2nd Dolmen: 2.7m in length, 1.6m in width, 0.7m in thickness (Owned by Gi Sik Kim)
- 3rd Dolmen: 2.0m in length, 1.6m in width, 0.7m in thickness (Owned by Dae Hwan Oh)
- 4th Dolmen: 1.3m in length, 0.9m in width, 0.6m in thickness (Owned by Gi Sik Kim)
- 5th Dolmen: 2.4m in length, 1.5m in width, 0.7m in thickness (Owned by Hun Cho)
- 6th Dolmen: 2.1m in length, 1.7m in width, 0.6m in thickness (Owned by In Sang Cho)
- 7th Dolmen: 2.6m in length, 1.4m in width, 0.8m in thickness
