The forest was built by Mal-Dong Lee during retirement to protect against damage from storm and flood. It is smaller nowadays than previously but it consists of natural pine trees.

In front of the forest, Gigyecheon streams and in the back of it, the lower edge of Bihak Mountain is located. It is the natural rest area. There is a monument, the leader of army in the cause of justice, Doo-San Lee Jongheupchang(1992).
