Woncheong sand dune used to limit the entrance of private
citizens and artificial alteration, and thus the sand dune topography is
well-preserved, and there is a wide variety of organisms. There are 8
endangered species such as egretta eulophotes, hawk, lynx, short tailed viper
snakes, and chaste trees etc mainly inhabit in the sand dune. Woncheong sand
dune region has a well-developed tombolo that connects the sandy beach and the
island. 17 species of sand-type plants such as beach peas, 7 types of natural
treasure such as Chinese sparrow hawk, 5 types of endangered species such as egretta
eulophotes etc have been confirmed to inhabit there, and therefore the
preservation value is very high and it has excellent natural sceneries.
