¢ºDescriptionSaldun Valley, created by Gyebangcheon Stream and Jauncheon Stream, cherishes its original beauties.  The luxurious virgin forest is of another world from the entrance on.  It is called Saengdun (ßæÔê) in Chinese writing and also written as Samdun. The original village was established when those who planned to re-enthrone King Danjong hid here in the Joseon Dynasty.  Jeonggamrok, a prophecy¡¯s note from the Joseon Dynasty, also refers to this place as one of Samdunsagari, the seven best evacuation sites.  Samdunsagari, the seven safest evacuation sites, is located around Saldun.
Saldun (Saengdun) Valley¡¯s topography resembles the shape of the Korean Peninsula: Yuljeoncheon Stream flows along Saldun Valley, luxurious forest covers up the north like Korea¡¯s mountainous areas in the north, and the south has fields which reminds us of Honam Plains.
Being Class 1 in clarity, Saldun Valley¡¯s water grows lenok and Gonoproktopterus mylodon, a natural preservation.  Royal azaleas by the bizarre-looking rocks create beautiful sceneries in spring and many rocks along the waters make it an ideal location for family picnics.
