A parasite volcano located about 1km from Wasan Village, Jocheon-eup
to the Southeast. It is easily found because the provincial
way connecting Wasan-ri and Seonin-dong of Seonheul2-ri is passing
near the volcano. It was called Danoreum since ancient times
because of the shrine, and today, modernized shrine is built and
a ritual is held every year. Many parasite volcanoes in Jeju
are called Dangoreum, including the Dangoreum in Songdang-ri Gujwa-eup,
Hangyeong-myeon Gosan-ri, and Andeok-myeon Donggwang-ri. This
parasite volcano looks like a low parasite volcano from the north,
but from the south, it looks like a volcanic mountain that has a
horseshoe-shaped crater, forming a hilly country with moderate terrain.
Its four sides are covered with thick forests, and inside
Hwagu, the hilly country on top of Dangoreum, farming field is located
along with grassland.
