Gotjawal Woodland Path

 Gotjawal is a place constituted with the bed rock made by cooled lava which was gushed out from the volcano in Jeju. Gotjawal forest, a naturally formed forest covered with ever green trees, is one of most favorite place juju people visit.  It is proud of a green forest even in Winter, and is to remove carbon dioxide, the criminal of globe warming, and to play a role as a lung for the ecosystem as well, and is a buffer zone to provide good conditions for animal¡¯s existence because of its scope stretched from Hanla mountain through small mountains to the shear shore, and is the treasure house of Jeju ecosystem.

 The woodland path in this village had won the prize of best path nationwide in 2008, and is the most beautiful path among the paths of Jeju Ole.  

 

Wanggaedongsan ecosystem forest

It is located in the boundary of 594, Mureung 2Ri, and is the hill to the right from the ramp to school in front of Villager Hall of Myreung 2Ri. Its name was originated from the shepherd, Wang, who had stationed here.

About 270 animals and plants are existing here and various insects, birds and animals are living here too. This forest was reborn as a center to learn ecosystem by connecting with Gotjawal, Gusiholmot, Gonmul swamps, and has been preserving by people¡¯s interest and love.
