It is a valley on the forest of Palgong Mountains (1,193m) that rises on the
north of Bugye-myeon with the pure waters flowing down for 4§°. Since the old
times, it has had abundant volume of water told by its name, Myeokbau, and about
20 variously-sized waterfalls continue along the valley to add magnificence.
There is a camp ground for about 1,000 people and about 2km to the west is Gunwi
Stone Cavern for Three Beings (109th Treasure) that is said to have been
established by Great Priest Geukdal of Shinra. Also, there are many other
attractions inside Palgong Mountains Province Park. Transits are operated to
Dongsan Valley from the north station of Daegu. When driving, pass Chilgok from
Daegu and make a left turn at Giseong-dong 3-way junction to meet Palgongsan
Circulation Road and proceed to Hanti Rest Place, Bugye-myeon, Namsan-ri and
Dongsan-ri.
