○ Sea Fishing
- As a peninsula, Korea
is surrounded by many maritime resources and sea fishing is available in all
three seas. There are two types of sea
fishing. There is fishing on Gatbaui by
the coast and boat fishing to sail into the sea. Anyone who enjoys fishing would have
experienced one or both kinds of sea fishing.
- Sea fishing at Bogildo Island allows you to sail into the beautiful South Sea
and taste the fresh fish you catch amongst the beautiful sceneries of
Dadohae. Bogildo Island
has a wide variety of species nearby. As
soon as you go aboard a fishing boat and lay your fishing line, you will
experience the thrill of catching fish.
- The most popular fishing grounds are divided into Wando, Sinji, Yeoseodo,
and Soin regions. At the Wando and Sinji
region, between June and November, you can catch black sea bream, rockfish, red
sea bream, and parrot fish. At Hwangjedo Island,
Jangdo Island,
Chodo Island,
and Deogudo Island, between November and October of
the following year, you can catch sea bass, black sea bream, and large parrot
fish. Between June and May of the
following year, you can catch yellowtail, rockfish, parrot fish, black sea
bream, sea bass, and red sea bream at Yeoseodo Island,
and between March and May, try catching sea bass, black sea bream, rockfish,
and large blackfish at the Soin region.
Between March and December, black sea bream, red sea bream, rockfish,
sea bass, and parrot fish are mostly caught at any part of Wando.
- As Wando-eup is a popular fishing point, fishers can easily purchase
fishing equipment at the local area.
Fisher’s stores at Wando-eup are Garipo Fishing, Gwangwang Fishing, Gudo
Fishing, Gukje Fishing, Wando
Fishing Land,
Judo Fishing, and Cheongho Fishing.
○ Sea Fishing Experience
- Wando is the best place to fish. At
Wando, you can try fishing in the sea using the traditional fishing method. The experience point is at Wolhang-ri of Soando Island. Here, you can use the tidal difference to
install nets in the tidelands and catch mullet, sea bass, and eel. In low tide, fish is caught in the nets for
you to collect them.
