the first day of winter. To make soybean paste, soybean is
well-soaked in water, boiled in a large pot, and mashed in a mortar.
The mashed soybean is formed into hard, round or rectangular
blocks. In farm villages, these blocks are placed on straws
or hung in a row and fermented in 27¡É of temperature and appropriate
humidity. After about a month or two, the well-fermented soybean
paste is completely sun-dried.Experience making traditional soybean

Description In the old days, Korean ancestors used to make various
commodities, such as shoes, using straws. When a son is born,
the first thing they did was to hang a line of straw rope at the
gate. Also, most people lived in houses with straw roofing.
Rice straws were mostly used to create commodities, but rush,
the bark of bush clover, reed, the bark of hemp, reed mace, and
the bark of arrowroot were also used. Types of straw items
made include shoes, roofing, sickle holders, small baskets, mesh
bags, rice bags, knitted straw bags, seed bags, containers, ropes,
mats, etc, but most of these items have been replaced by plastic
items from the West. Experience an old traditional culture of
Korea and Korean ancestors¡¯ craftsmanship.
