Hangye Fortress |

Hangye Fortress was constructed using natural stones and is recorded in Inje-hyeon part of New Korea’s Tour Guide and in Inje Local Record published in 1843 (9th year of the reign of Chosun King Heonjong).As no specific document is found about the fortress, its construction date is not known but it is said to have been built by King Gyeongsun in late Shinra Unification and is also said to have been used by Prince Maui to train troops when he was trying to revive Shinra. The fortress is approx. 1.8km long.Today, its structure is well preserved in its original formation. The castle remains the ruins of the castle and temple along with a service table called Cheonjaedan with three stone tables piled with small rocks.
