Yanggu North Korea Pavilion

Yanggu North Korea Pavilion located at the northernmost tip of Civilian Control Line (CCL) opened in 1996. It was established about 5km ahead of the Fourth Tunnel at the northern end of Punchbowl basin as a site of unification education promoting understanding about North Korean circumstances and inspiring a will for reunification into the hearts of South Koreans. The North Korea Pavilion is divided into the first exhibition hall, the second exhibition hall, agricultural specialties store, and has parking lot for one hundred cars. Under Yanggu County management, daily necessities including export products and pictures permanently and in agricultural specialties store are sold specialties, North Korean products, tourism souvenirs and others are displayed in the North Korea Pavilion. In its neighborhood there are the Fourth Tunnel the only one possible to view inside by electric railroad, eulji observation platform located at the northernmost tip among the observatories in Korea War Memorial Hall built for remembering the nine battles of Yanggu the fierce battlefield of the Korean War. And North Korea Pavilion is conducting affairs linked in and out of the Fourth Tunnel, eulji observation platform, and War Memorial Hall.
