This temple is located in a southern towering peak of Bong du mountain of Ilwol mountain. It was built by the greatest Buddhist master Uisang.
The origine of the name Okryeonsa is this: Lotus flowers bloom beautifully like marbles in the pond which locates down the temple. So they came to call this temple Okryeonsa(temple of marble and lotus).Here, the hall of paradise is still existing. It is woodle structure 7 meters in height, 6 meters in width.It is characterized by inner 9 slices,outer 7 slices and a thick structure in the middle.It is assumed that this temple was built at the Korye Dynasty,but not exactly known.
