They are about 1.5m tall. The roots are either long strap-shaped or short cylinder-shaped with sharp ends. The young stems are weak and grow to bear branches. The leaf-like branches are as thin as pine needles and intertwined. One branch has 5 to 8 small leaves and the leaves are 1~2cm long.
Aloe is the Arabian for meaning 'tastes bitter.' They sterilize germs and molds and contain Aloetin that neutralizes the toxins. Also, they contain steroid, amino acid, saponin, antibiotics, remedy hormones and minerals and are known to be effective for fatigue, hangover and constipation. They neutralize dry or oily skins and are used to produce functional skin care products as they moisturize the skin.
