Traditional Fermented Soybean

The taste of a bean paste depends on fermented soybeans. The weather of Korea is suitable for fermenting soybeans that can make good soy and bean paste. Fermented soybeans are made like this:  Soybeans are boiled and pounded  into a lump. It is an ingredient of soy bean paste and red pepper paste. To make fermented beans was a food festival of the household and Kimjang filled up all house with savory odor. However, due to ready-made soy, bean paste and red pepper paste, it is hard to find fermented soybean today and its existence is disappearing in the mind of modern people.
