Straw craft uses the stems of rice plants.  Although straw crafts are mainly used for decorative purposes these days, our grandmothers and grandfathers used to use them for daily activities just a few decades ago.
The seniors at Haedam Village have been creating a large amount of straw crafts in agricultural off-seasons.  Various kinds of straw crafts, such as rugs, carrying racks, bags, foot soles, shoes, and spinning wheels, are created by the Senior Association of Haedam Village and are widely recognized for their quality.
