Yeoncheon is included in Chugaryeong Region in the center of the Korean Peninsula and is the northernmost part of Gyeonggi-do.  It is known for beautiful natural landscapes and fertile soils.
Yeoncheon¡¯s rice is produced in the pollution-free soils of the Demilitarized Zone.Small lots of rice-paddy fields and top class soils produce Yeoncheon¡¯s famous quality rice.
As Yeoncheon Rice is cultivated in Yeoncheon¡¯s fertile soils using the clean water of Imjin River from the north, it is found in the market in two different brands: ¡¸Namtobuksu Rice¡¹ and ¡¸Imjin River Rice¡¹.
