Water melons from Wolchon, Haman, grow in fertile land riversides of Nakdonggang and Namgang, and become the country's top product. They are sweet, good for urination, alcoholism, difficult urination, etc, and their flesh is good in quality. Wolchon water melons are a popular product exported to Japanese market for the first time in Korea. Wollchon, Kunbuk-myeon, as a fertile soil around the area watered by Namkang, has the optimum condition for growing watermelons. The taste is sweet and refreshing, and they are of high value as a product so that more than 70% of the total production are taken out to Seoul and other larger cities in Korea.
