Strawberries have twice more vitamins than lemon and 10 times more than apples (80mg in every 100g) to be the fruit with most Vitamin C content with 0.6 ~ 1.5% of sour organic acid.
The tip is the sweetest and loses the sweetness as it gets closer to the top. About 3~4 strawberries (approx. 70g) can satisfy the daily vitamin requirements of an adult and even when juiced, 80~83% of the vitamins remain. Also, as they actively perform as adrenal cortex controlling various hormones, they help promote the physical strength.
Storage - As they are prone to degrade, purchase as much as you can consume.
- When storing, put them in saran wrap and in refrigerator without removing the stalks.
- When washing, quickly rinse them in salty water without removing the stalks as 30 seconds or more dipping underwater dissolves the Vitamin C.
- Few-days-old strawberries can be enjoyed uniquely with slightly seasoning of sugar and wine.
