- Sweet persimmon is vulnerable to coldness, so it is a farm product that grows well in warm regions. Younggwang Lava Village has good natural environment to cultivate sweet persimmons, such as warm climate, large soil depth, and rich soil, and the persimmons produced in Lava Village have smooth surface and good taste, thus they are considered as leading high-quality persimmons. Also, the persimmons are grown under abundant sunshine, and therefore the pulp of the sweet persimmons is very firm, delicate with lots of juice and great sweetness. It is a local specialty sought by many people.

- Sweet persimmons are often used fresh, and Dae-bong or unripe persimmons are sold after being processed into Yeon-si or dried persimmons. Especially, in line with the well-being trend, persimmons sought by many people are sold by being made into various types of food, and the most sold food include persimmon vinegar, persimmon pickles, etc.

- Persimmon food

 Persimmon vinegar: To make persimmon vinegar that many people nowadays seek, first wash persimmon clean, dry it, crush the ripe persimmon and put it in a container. Add dry ice and seal it. Avoid direct ray of light and preserve it and ferment it for 3~4 months to make tasty persimmon vinegar.
