Boseok Korean melons are a specialty of Iksan and Duyeo-ri uses
honeybees for natural pollination. Geumgok, Wondu, Jingi,
and Yeosan (Sueun) producers’ associations produce about 20 tons
of Korean melons a year.
Major species in Korea include Geumssaraegi, 007 Korean melons,
and Obokggul that are high in sweetness and fresh. Anyone
who has tasted it once will come back to taste it again.
Korean melons require much manual labor from seeding to harvest
and local women particularly take charge of cutting the sprouts.
Iksan Korean melons are grown in tunnel-type greenhouses and
are free from pests and insects to require less chemical pesticides.

the temperature (25∼28℃) inside the greenhouses and indicating
the names and addresses of producers and weights on every box.
