In Cheongyang where the pollution-free nature and well-preserved old traditional culture harmonize, we open Village Guardian Festival to succeed the village guardian culture of Chilgap Mountains, Korea¡¯s greatest protector of village guardian culture.

Cheongyang is the home of Korea¡¯s village guardians and provide the tourists with things to see. This event is used as the center of leaning experience and contributes to the local development by establishing new tourists¡¯ attractions related to Baekje Empire at Chilgap Mountains to make it an international event.

Every mid-April, we open various events at Chilgapsan Jangseung Park starting with the opening and connecting to Chilgapsan Village Guardian Rituals, Erecting Huge Village Guardians and Flag Poles, Village Guardian Sculpturing, Village Guardian Ritual Demonstration and Creative Village Guardian Exhibition. Chilgapsan Village Guardian Festival has become the center of national minds and has the potential to become a universal attraction that is loved by Koreans as well as foreigners.
