Melon Festival, started in 2003, is held every May sponsored by Iksan Agricultural Technology Center.  It is settled as the festival of Iksan¡¯s melon producers such as Mangseong-myeon, Yeosan-myeon, Seongdang-myeon and Nangsan-myeon.  Aiming to introduce the taste and characteristics of the melons, we also schedule various events such as melon appraisal and sampling shows, folk instrumental music performance, Korean music performance and cutting melon peeling long.  

Melon Festival is held in the plaza by Mireuk Temple Ruins, so it would be good to enjoy the taste of melons and various events and to tour around the Relics Exhibition Center and the stone tower of Mireuk Temple Ruins, the greatest stone tower of Asia.
