Introduction
Geoje has been holding a marine event called “To the Sea, To the World” since 1999 every July vacation season with the sponsor of MBC Broadcasting Station, to satisfy the needs of the tourists expecting Geoje to be the center of korea’s marine tourists’ resources, to perform the central role for Korea’s and international marine tourism, to profit from the administration of tourism industry and progressive marketing, and to vitalize the local economy. In this event, the marine sports unions of 8 different countries including the US, Japan and China to participate to this high-quality tourists’ event. We hold various sports events such as world female super beach volleyball competition, international pin-swimming competition and yacht competition along with various cultural events including sea music performance, sea movie theater and special green light.
Festival Period: 7. 15 ∼ 7. 31 every year [7. 26 ∼ 7. 30 (5 days)]
