Bell tomatoes are produced as about 20% of the whole country production in Buyeo-gun centering on Sedo-myeon. 614 farmhouses produced total 20,150 t in 270§µ last year. The sales are all 4,100 million won, which is the largest scale in domestic.

The quality of bell tomatoes produced here is excellent because they are grown in the soil powerful and fertile deposited while the water of Geumgang(Riv.) has been bumped continuously against the bank. Bell tomatoes produced in Sedo are uniform in color as scarlet and they have high sugar contents. The sugar content of bell tomatoes produced in other regions are about 7¡­7.5, however those of bell tomatoes produced in Buyeo are 7.5¡­8.5, thus they are sweeter.

It has been known that it has excellent anticancer effect against prostatic carcinoma, lung cancer and gastric cancer and it is also good for hypertension treatment.
